Download / Online retrieval for your website and for Internet enabled devices

This archive contains one HTML file per day. A central cascading style sheet (CSS) is included, simply adapt it to customize the layout of all texts.

Installation:

1. unpack the archive into any folder (ensure that subfolders will be created; WinZip: “use paths”);
2. open the file theword.html to view The Word of the day.

If you want to display the text without line-breaks (e.g. for mobile phones): rename the file thewordMobile.css to thewords.css.

You may replace “EnglishStandardVersion” by any other of the supported Bible editions.

The address returns The Word as HTML elements in a complete HTML page.

The HTML elements have CSS class attributes (see the description of The Word CSS classes). You may adapt the layout of The Word to the layout of your site: create a CSS file on your server and pass its link to our address using the parameter “css”. Please see the usage examples!

If you are using iframe, do not write the CSS data as an attribute into the iframe element - this has no effect on the complete HTML page embedded within the iframe! Save the data into a CSS file instead and pass to our address a link to your file. Our server will then deliver a link to your CSS file within the complete HTML file - this works!
